Position Overview

Hiring CDL-A drivers for a local intermodal position based in the Chicago, IL area. This role offers home daily, consistent miles, and steady weekly earnings. Drivers will operate primarily on night shifts with a mix of local and regional runs.

Pay & Compensation

• Starting Pay: $0.62 CPM
• Load Pay: $20 per load
• Night Differential: +$0.06 CPM (Monday–Friday, 7 PM – 4 AM)
• Weekend Differential: +$0.12 CPM (Friday 7 PM – Monday 4 AM)
• Average Weekly Pay: $1,200 – $1,400
• Weekly Miles: Approximately 1,800

Additional pay opportunities may be available depending on assignment.

Home Time & Schedule

• Home Daily
• Shift: Night shift (primary)
• Weekend Work: Required
• Holiday Work: Required if scheduled

Freight & Equipment

• Intermodal freight
• Drop and hook in most cases
• Some live load and live unload
• No driver unload

Operating Area

• Chicago metro area
• Regional runs into Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, and Indiana
• Drivers return home daily

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• First seat (experienced drivers only)
• No endorsements required

• Traffic conditions can impact routes
• Occasional out-of-state runs (still home daily)
